$300,000 for Ballina Electorate announced today through the Community Building Partnership Program
Member for Ballina Tamara Smith today announced the electorate of Ballina has secured $300,000 in funding for a total of 16 projects through the NSW Government’s 2019 Community Building Partnership Program.
"Whilst we all brace ourselves for the hardships coming I am pleased that I can announce funding for 16 community and volunteer groups today."
Member for Ballina Tamara Smith said the State government funds will deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities including increased safety equipment for Cape Byron Marine rescue, multi-function LED signage for Alstonville Primary, addition of outside decking to Rous Mill memorial hall and solar installation for Lennox Community garden.
“This is fantastic news for our region, this grassroots funding will directly help to create a more vibrant and inclusive local community with positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes,” Ms Smith said.
“I congratulate all the organisations that were successful in their application and look forward to seeing how these projects make a real difference for community groups in the area.”
Now a decade old, the Community Building Partnership program has funded more than 13,800 community projects since it commenced in 2009.
Applications for the 2020 Program open in May.
