Alstonville and Wollongbar have a combined population of over 8,000 but rely on Ballina and Lismore for their ambulance, whilst smaller towns, such as Yamba and Maclean, have dedicated ambulance stations.
This means that the best case scenario for an ambulance call out is 15-20 minutes, with some residents having waited upwards of 45 minutes for an ambulance. This is an unacceptably dangerous situation for residents of Alstonville and Wollongbar.
Please sign our petition and help demonstrate the community need for an ambulance station to the State Government.
To the New South Wales government.
The Alstonville - Wollongbar communities need the security of having an ambulance service that will be able to respond quickly to medical emergencies.
We, the undersigned, call on the New South Wales government to provide a full time ambulance station based in Alstonville, providing 24 hour coverage to the Alstonville - Wollongbar area.
