A Plan for Our Community
Working with the community, I have delivered a lot for our area including a 32% increase in government funding for our Electorate in my first term of office. Going Green has been good for us economically, and as an MP on the Crossbench I have been able to set the agenda and achieve better outcomes for the environment and our community on key local issues - no ski jump for Lennox, no new sand mine for Lennox, stopping West Byron, no paid parking in Brunswick Heads, a new marine tower for Ballina, campaigning for drone technology and getting shark nets out of our beaches, protecting public land across the region and financial support for over 50 volunteer and advocacy groups.
But there’s so much more to do! That’s why we have a bold and progressive plan for the next 30-50 years that will see us thrive into the future. Our plan has been developed through thousands of conversations with people and organisations and addresses the issues that need to change for us to keep growing sustainably, leaving no one behind.
Our plan protects the beautiful environment we love and rely on for our economy, delivers strong action on climate change and jobs in renewable energy, delivers sustainable funding for roads and parks and will see improved front line services for our community.
